Data Formats

The NGF Data Center has helped develop GNSS data and metadata standards in collaboration with the NGF geosciences community. NGF hosts documentation about the BINEX data and metadata standard developed by the NGF community and GNSS receiver manfacturers.

BINEX

BINEX is an operational binary format standard for GNSS research and operational purposes. The format has been designed to grow and allow encapsulation of any data or metadata allowed in the common ASCII exchange ormats such as RINEX, IONEX, SP3, SINEX, and so on, including GNSS-related data and metadata as encountered.
