Summary:  UNAVCO provided one Trimble 5700 GPS receiver, training and data archiving to O-283 in their ongoing effort to produce accurate site elevations used in climate models. These surveys are conducted on an “opportunity” basis during scheduled maintenance visits to the AWS sites.  UNAVCO also provided a remote power system to power one of O-283’s Tall Tower installations on the Ross Ice Shelf.
