Summary: Catania's team traveled to the Kamb/Whillans ice stream outlet region of West Antarctica in to investigate the local ice dynamics and ice flow history.  Catania's team used ten Trimble R7/5700 GPS receivers to measure the velocity of these ice streams.  The group was given training in McMurdo prior to their field deployment.
