Summary: Dr. Andrew Fountain, a McMurdo LTER participant, returned to the Taylor Valley to continue research on the Commonwealth, Canada and Taylor glaciers.  Studies focused on surface snow and ice accumulation and ablation, while monitoring solar and other environmental influences on the overall dynamics of the glaciers.  The B-425 team was provided field assistance for ablation stake measurements taken on the Canada Glacier.  The team was given a Trimble GPS receiver used for later measurements around the perimeter of the glacier.
