Summary: Dr. Kyle requested UNAVCO support for both campaign and permanent station GPS activities on Mt. Erebus as a means to carefully monitor the deformation of the volcano from internal magma dynamics. Training, GPS systems and data archiving were provided to the field team for mapping activities and campaign occupations. UNAVCO performed routine maintenance on CONES and Abbot Peak. The MACZ site was rebuilt and upgraded. Additionally, UNAVCO provided ground based LiDAR scanning to image fumaroles.
