Summary: Dr.Slawek Tulaczyk spent time this season mapping elevation change anomalies along the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) and their correlation to subglacial water movement.  In addition to his regular GPS campaign work, Tulaczyk deployed 10 autonomous GPS Systems, augmented with solar power to collect a two year data set along the Whillans Ice Stream.  One of these systems is a complete MRI kit with Iridium communications plus solar and wind power.  UNAVCO provided the Trimble GPS instrumentation kits as well as training and data archiving services.
