Borehole Seismic Data

Seismic data are collected by short-period seismometers installed in the PBO boreholes. There are 79 borehole seismometers currently operating in the PBO borehole network. Standard PBO sample rates are 1 and 100 Hz with some sites in California also collecting data at 200 Hz. The majority of the seismometers are installed in the same borehole and just a few meters above a PBO borehole strainmeter. Raw seismic data are available via the FDSN DataSelect service from the NGF archive.
