Borehole Strainmeter Data
Borehole Strainmeter (BSM) data include strain data from the BSM instrument as well as a host of environmental data from the surface and at depth. These data are recorded at different sampling rates. For PBO strainmeters extensional strain is positive. Processed BSM data are available from the NGF archive (EarthScope account required for XML). Raw BSM data is available as MiniSEED through the FDSN DataSelect service. Please see the PBO Data Management System Critical Design Review [PDF] for an explanation of the BSM data formats.
Accessing Raw BSM Data (MiniSEED): Raw data is available through the
FDSN DataSelect service.
Use network code PB, the station code, and channel LS* (1 Hz, primary),
BS* (20 Hz), or RS* (10 min intervals).
Requests are recommended for one station at a time. Click the MiniSEED link for any
