Participant Checklist

  • Dates: Tuesday August 14 - Friday August 17, 2018
  • Location: Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID
  • Times: Course will begin at 6 pm on Tuesday August 14th and end at noon on Friday August 17th.

Thank you for completing the following tasks on schedule so we can maximize the time during the workshop for learning and collaboration.

Prior to July 15, 2018

  1. Read this document about Travel Information and Packing!
  2. Arrange your own travel to Pocatello, ID.

By July 15, 2018 at the latest

Send answers to the following questions to Jaime Magliocca jmagliounavco.org

  1. What is your gender?
  2. Do you have a requested roommate? (see Participants list)
    If you prefer to have a single room, specify that to Jaime but note that the difference in cost will have to be subtracted from your stipend.
  3. What is your cell phone number?
  4. Tell Jaime your travel plans so she can arrange pickup and drop off to/from the Pocatello airport or shuttle stop.

Prior to August 14, 2018 short course beginning

  1. Review the teaching module that we will be basing the the course on - High Precision Positioning with Static and Kinematic GPS/GNSS
  2. If you are less familiar with GNSS methods you may want to take a particular look at Kinematic GNSS Survey Methods Manual
  3. Prepare your presentation if you volunteered to give one during the Community Examples session on Wednesday August 15. Presentations should be 5 minutes so we can have a couple minutes of questions. We recommend preparing just 5-7 slides. Community Examples Session Proposed Agenda
  4. Review Travel Information and Packing for appropriate equipment and clothes
