Summary: Dr. Stone and his team conducted coring operations on several peaks in the Dry Valleys region. Precision GPS was used to carefully mark the location of these drill sites. UNAVCO provided both GPS instruments training and data archiving to the group. The gear provided consisted of a pair of Trimble R7's for simple fast-static measurements of the drill holes.
