Summary: Drs. Barrett and Gooseff received late season funding from the NSF for their study of microbial structures and biogeochemistry in snow patch drainage areas. The group requested UNAVCO's TLS and GPS support, requiring one field engineer to scan and map six snow patches in the beginning and at the end of the austral summer, to measure volume change across the snow patch. In addition to field support, UNAVCO provided data processing and data archiving.
