BSM Data Quality Metrics


The table below gives a brief overview of data quality for each BSM. Ideally each BSM should be in compression and record signals in the tidal and seismic frequency bands.

Anza

Mendocino

Co-located with B005 and B007. Has recorded several ETS events. [Dragert et al., 2011; Roeloffs, 2010; Hawthorne and Rubin, 2010; Wang et al., 2008; Hawthorne and Rubin, 2013].

B013

Co-located with B943, weak tide, noisy time series. Logging road built a few meters from site in early 2015.

B014

Good quality data, sensitive to rainfall. Seasonal signal in long term strains.

B017

Not in compression , many unexplained steps , poor quality data.

Recorded several ETS signals [Dragert et al., 2011; Roeloffs, 2010; Hawthorne and Rubin, 2010; Wang et al., 2008; Hawthorne and Rubin, 2013].
