GPS Data Analysis (GAMIT/GLOBK): A Short Course for Intermediate and Experienced Users June 12-14, 2006
UNAVCO is hosting a short course in GPS analysis using the GAMIT/GLOBK software for crustal motion studies. Currently the instructors plan to start the course mid-afternoon to early evening on Monday with an informal session, thus allowing participants to travel Monday if necessary. Tuesday's topics include:
- automatic processing of continuous and survey-mode networks
- defining global, regional, and local reference frames
- temporal and spatial filtering of time series
- handling step-displacements due to earthquakes and instrument changes
- tropospheric, antenna, and loading effects in height estimates
- combining solutions
The instructors will be Drs. Tom Herring and Robert W. King (MIT), both of whom have contributed to the development of the GAMIT/GLOBK software.
Course Agenda, Notes, and Presentations will be available here as the course is developed. Each class participant will have a folder in which to keep assignments, questions, etc to interact with other participants and the instructors. Once you have signed up for the short course, UNAVCO will send your username and password for this interactive site.
