What Data Products Does PBO Provide and How do I get them?

Background

The PBO network consists of a wide variety of instrumentation: GPS, strainmeters, tiltmeters, seismometers, pore pressure monitors and meteorological instrumentation. Greg Anderson and Kathleen Hodgkinson of UNAVCO will present a 4-hour course on PBO data products and how to access them.

Scope

The course will introduce the user to the range of data products that are produced by PBO, describe how the data sets are prepared and show users how to access the data products and retrieve the associated metadata. The course will also introduce users to the software tools developed to handle the various data sets.

Participation

Participants are encouraged to bring laptops for a hands-on tutorial on how to use the PBO web site and software tools to identify and manipulate data sets, including GPS time series and velocities, time series of strainmeter data, seismic data, and more. Registration.

Financial Support

There will be no registration fee.

Dates and Venue

The workshop will be held at the Portola Plaza Hotel in Monterey, California. Dates will be announced when available.

Hotel Reservations

Hotel Reservations are the individual responsibility of all workshop participants. All reservations should be made individually by February 28, 2007.
