  • Geodesy Grand Challenges
    The geodesy community is preparing a written plan in a Grand Challenges format, identifying emerging science questions, required workforce development and diversity, and needed instrumentation and facilities. The intention is to have a draft by AGU and final plan by January 2010. This plan will inform a number of other national science planning initiatives scheduled to occur in 2010. Look here by early November to respond to the draft Grand Challenges Plan.

  • Tropospheric data products (beta) from PBO GPS processing
    Draft tropospheric data products derived from PBO GPS processing are now available for review and comment by the UNAVCO community. These daily products list tropospheric zenith delay parameters for each station in the PBO GPS network, as estimated during processing of GPS positions using GAMIT and GIPSY software. UNAVCO welcomes any and all user feedback regarding these products to help guide their development in a way that best serves the UNAVCO user community.

  • Evaluation, Monitoring and Communication of Volcanic and Seismic Hazards in East Africa in Trieste, Italy, August 17-28, 2009
    We seek your input on the following scientific, hazard mitigation, and science communication topics to be discussed at the upcoming NSF- sponsored workshop linked to the ICTP Workshop Evaluation, Monitoring and Communication of Volcanic and Seismic Hazards in East Africa in Trieste, Italy, August 17-28, 2009. Our aim is to develop strategies for long-term funding, national engagement, and student training in volcano-tectonic research in the East African rift system. This forum will remain open after the workshop to allow for comment on the white paper that results.
