PBO Planning Station Coordinate Files

The following coordinate files were used for the PBO proposal planning and budget purposes. They represent the number of stations specified in the EarthScope Project Plan (http://www.earthscope.org/earthscope_lo_9.26.pdf). The coordinate files were derived from earlier planning files found at http://www.ciw.edu/PBO/pbo_sitingplan/new_locations/ . Note that the locations of stations are not fixed and will likely change throughout the PBO planning process. In particular, strainmeter numbers were reduced on a network-by-network basis whereas a better approach would be having the PBO Strainmeter Working Group define critical strain clusters and remove entire groups to achieve the 175-strainmeter target.

• 875 backbone, tectonic and volcanic cluster GPS stations.
