Jayme Margolin
Jayme MargolinPBO Siting Outreach Specialist Jayme Margolin is a member of the Education and Outreach team at UNAVCO as the Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) Siting Outreach Specialist. She will be traveling to PBO sites to educate various audiences about the Earthscope-PBO mission and equipment. Jayme brings a diversity of experiences to the UNAVCO Education and Outreach Program. She holds a Masters of Science in Geology with a geochemistry and education focus and a Bachelors of Arts in the Geosciences and Asian Studies. Most recently she was the geological educational specialist at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State, where she developed and reviewed curriculum, organized and participated in teacher workshops, aided in disaster assessment, and organized training sessions for interpretation park rangers. Jayme was a Fulbright Scholar in Japan, where she worked with the University of Hokkaido’s Institute of Seismology and Volcanology completing seismic-volcanic research on Mount Usu, as well as conducting outreach programs for the local community, leading field trips for grade-school students, and educating instructors about utilizing their backyard for teaching the physical sciences.
