Acknowledging UNAVCO Support and Data Products

NSF policy stipulates grantee responsibility for assuring acknowledgment of material based on or developed with NSF support in any publication, including web pages. In addition, NSF requires oral acknowledgment during all news media interviews. In some cases, the grants of UNAVCO community members or other data providers must also be cited or the disclaimer is also required. Your acknowledgment of UNAVCO support also provides a measure UNAVCO's success.

To acknowledge support or data products from the UNAVCO Facility:

"This material is based on [data, equipment, and/or engineering] services provided by the UNAVCO Facility with support from the National Science Foundation and NASA under NSF Cooperative Agreement No. EAR-0735156."

To acknowledge data or data products retrieved from UNAVCO holdings:

In cases where community members have archived campaign or permanent data at the UNAVCO Facility, the originating grant should be cited following the format stipulated by the NSF Grant proposal Guide. The UNAVCO Data Policy is found at: http://www.unavco.org/community/policies_forms/DataPolicy.html.

For campaign data, acknowledgment information is found on the archive web pages; for continuous stations and networks, RINEX file headers and/or archive web pages contain Principal Investigator (PI) and funding sources.

To acknowledge services and/or equipment from Plate Boundary Observatory:
