I believe UNAVCO would benefit from my varied experience, especially from my three years of program management at NASA Headquarters. I look forward to the chance to support UNAVCO in the work to build PBO, and to participate in the exciting science that lies ahead.
Clark R. Wilson has been a Professor of Geophysics at the University of Texas at Austin since 1976, following graduate study at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has a long-standing interest in geodesy, including causes of Earth rotational variations, and related problems such as temporal variability in Earth's gravity field. From 1990-94 he was Chairman of the Geological Sciences Department, and from 1996-99 he was at NASA Headquarters Washington DC, as Program Scientist for space geodesy and geophysics programs. While at NASA he oversaw contract and grant support of UNAVCO and of the SCIGN project. He is serving as Geodynamics Section President of the International Association of Geodesy through 2003, and is the IAG representative to the International Earth Rotation Service.
