2006 UNAVCO Science Workshop - Support
|
The following information will help you determine your registrant type. UNAVCO supports each registrant type differently. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email that will include:
- Confirmation of your registration type and what support will be offered to you
- A link to pay registration fees and field trip dues
- A personal abstract submission code and link to submit your abstract online
- Travel arrangement/hotel information
- Meeting contact information

Board Members, Committee Chairs, and Invited Speakers
UNAVCO will cover reasonable expenses for Board Members, Committee Chairs, and Invited Speakers. UNAVCO will not reimburse incidentals, upgrades, field trip fees or accompanying participant expenses.
Member Institutions
|
|
UNAVCO will cover 100% of lodging less incidentals and upgrades. There will be some transportation support available ($150.00) for one representative from each UNAVCO member institution in good standing, if that institution is not otherwise represented by a committee member or speaker. Members must pay for lodging and transportation at time of booking and will be reimbursed by UNAVCO via an expense report submitted to UNAVCO following the meeting. A registration fee is not required. UNVACO will not reimburse incidentals, upgrades, field trip fees or accompanying participant expenses.
UNAVCO bylaws require that Member Representatives must be designated in writing. If your Institution Member Representative has changed since your original membership application, a designated official within your institution must inform UNAVCO in writing 60 days prior to the meeting (January 15, 2006).

Students and Postdoctoral Fellows
Limited support is available for students. Applications should include a note on current research topics and name of advisor. You will be notified if support is available to you once you register and your research topics are reviewed.
Self-Supported Participants and Self-Supported Students
Self-supported participants are responsible for all expenses, including air, hotel accommodations, transfers, and field trips fees.
UNAVCO Staff
UNAVCO staff will pay their own air and hotel at the time of booking with their UNAVCO credit card and submit an expense report following the meeting. If you do not have a UNAVCO credit card, please contact Jaime Magliocca. A registration fee is not required. UNAVCO will not reimburse incidentals, upgrades, field trip fees or accompanying participant expenses.
