A few short items of possible interest . . .

IRIS and UNAVCO will hold their annual meetings jointly next summer. 
The combined UNAVCO/IRIS meeting will take place at Tenaya Lodge, 
south of Yosemite, California. The meeting will start with a 
reception on Wednesday evening, 18 June 2003, and run through 
Saturday, 21 June 2003.  Partial travel support should be available 
for all paid up UNAVCO, Inc. Member representatives.

UNAVCO, Inc. is co-sponsoring the Geodesy Section Reception at the 
Fall AGU meeting in San Francisco next month. Come by Moscone Center 
Room 106, Saturday, 7 December 2002, 5:45-7:00 PM.

John Beavan has replaced Duncan Agnew on the PBO Standing Committee. 
I would like to thank Duncan for his service on this committee and 
welcome John to the group (a complete list of PBO Standing Committee 
members can be found on the UNAVCO web site 
http://www.unavco.org/community/governance/committees/committees.html.

Finally a commercial break...   Are you interested in supporting 
UNAVCO? Do you regularly attend UNAVCO meetings and otherwise 
interact with the UNAVCO community? If so, and if your institution is 
not a member of UNAVCO, Inc., consider joining.  Your membership 
gives you a voice in insuring that UNAVCO meets your needs. Your 
membership also strengthens UNAVCO's ability to "save the total 
community cost of scientific research and enhance communication both 
within the community and with sponsors ." For an application, see

If your institution is a member, but has not yet paid its dues, 
please do so at your earliest convenience. Members dues must be paid 
by the 1st of February 2003 to be considered for travel support to 
the Yosemite meeting.
